Ever entranced by the poetry of motion, Roux spent the better part of a decade in the study of kinetic arts. Her passion for dance was balanced by an equal affinity for martial arts including Tae Kwon Do and Krav Maga.
Piqued by her study, Roux sought clarity in her storytelling and dedicated five years to filmmaking, resulting in the production of one Academy Award-nominated project, among others. She rounded out her education with a return to dance in the form of fire, which sprang up in the burlesque and sideshow performance communities of New Orleans. It was here that she embarked upon her prop-dance journey, which carried her to San Francisco where she continues to study, teach, and perform today.
